“Yes, I do. I already told Charles about it. You will get to see your parents tomorrow even if it’s for the last time.”

“I am not your property Dracole. I am not a thing you can possess.”

He offered Laura a painkiller drug.
Laura refused to take it from his hand and he dropped it on the bed.
He blew her a kiss and left the room. She closed the door immediately after he took his leave.
“Imbecile. He has a way of stepping on my nerves”.
Laura soliloquized.
She took a second look at the painkiller and put two tablets in her mouth.
Dracole was right she needed the drug to ease her pain.
Within a few minutes, she was dozing. She decided to leave the light on and soon she was asleep.
Dracole on the other hand was in his room excited at the thought of leaving the country with Laura. He assured himself, that Laura falling in love with him was a matter of time.
The thought of spending the rest of his life with Laura beside him thrilled his brain. He smiled at himself and imagined Laura in his arms.
“It will be beautiful if a wonderful soul like this birth, my kids. I would be the happiest man on earth.”
He spoke to Laura’s picture and kissed her lips in it before resigning to sleep.
He had gotten Laura’s picture before her wedding day. Charles had helped him take the picture of Laura after he discovered her location. Dracole had told him all about her.
He was happy the day Charles brought the news that he had discovered Laura’s location and gotten her picture. It was with great pleasure Dracole gave Charles a treat the next day.
Charles had never seen Dracole excited like that about a lady. He resolved that something was special about Laura and Dracole confirmed it with the way he talked about spending the rest of his life with Laura after traveling to another country.
Even though Charles wasn’t comfortable with his boss’s actions he dare not question him. He knew better than to get Dracole annoyed.
