When Louis observed Laura wouldn’t stop staring at him, he came closer and gave her a hug.
He spoke.
“I will call you later. You need to go home now your nanny would already be worried.”
Laura nodded her head and gave him a sheepish smile.
She stylishly touched the bracelet in his hand.
“Do you like it?”
Louis asked.
“Yes I do.”
“My younger brother gave it to me. If you want it, I will give you right away.”
“No don’t bother, it just caught my attention.”

After that they both went into their respective cars and drove towards home.
While riding, Laura kept on wondering where she had seen the bracelet.

Her nanny sat down beside her and held her cheek.

Laura chuckled and spoke.

Laura’s nanny sobbed.
“Sorry , you haven’t told me the whole story yet. How did you loose your son? What happened?”
“It’s a long story, but since you are older now, preharps you will understand and not judge me.”
“Okay I am listening.”
“When I was younger I had a lover. His family were reeking rich. They were multimillionaires. I had sensed the likelihoods of them accepting a lady whose parents background were extremely low and didn’t match up to their status was bleak. Nevertheless, Zion led me on. He assured me his parents would accept me. One thing led to the other and we made love . I was naïve as at then so I didn’t bother to use any contraceptives or preventive measures. After that day, we had se!x countless times. I didn’t even know I had taken in, until my period refused to surface.”
She halted and sighed.

“I informed Zion about it, and he was worried as well. He got me a pregnancy test strip, and I found out I was pregnant. Atleast that calmed the storm arising in my heart. I never knew Zion’s parent had bigger plans. I was shocked when I heard my mom and dad agreeing to their dev!ilish plan on phone call. I felt extremely sad and helpless. On the delivery day, the nurse announced to me that my child was a still birth. I knew she was lying, the actual truth was that my parents had sold my first seed and their grandchild over a huge amount of money. I sobbed continuously for days.”
“Oh ! God was Zion aware about it?”
“Yes he was. Zion was a puppet to his parents. He dared not go against their wish or orders.”

I arranged my belongings and ran away from home. It was hard at first, I felt miserable but I continued holding on. Then one fateful day when I was through washing clothes for one of my customers I saw the vacancy post of a nanny needed in your place. I tried my luck and it was successful. Your parents were so good to me. It was through you I felt alive again. I had the opportunity of being a mother again and I maximized it well. I gave you the love I wasn’t chanced to give my son due to cowardness.”
“it’s not your fault. Please don’t feel bad. Do you still have your son’s father number.”
“No I don’t. I threw my sim away out of grudge.”
“How do we locate your son then? I feel so helpless now.”
“it’s okay Laura. I will be fine. If God permits it I will definitely see my son again. I just don’t want to be rejected. I can’t expect a son I didn’t nurture to accept me as his mother.”
Laura sighed and gave her nanny a hug. She wished she could heal her nanny’s wounded soul but unfortunately she was helpless.
