James started the engine and drove out of the church compound while the padre was seated next to him in the passenger’s seat
“Brother James don’t fear for there is nothing that the Lord can’t do” the Padre said while staring at James whose eyes were fixed on the road.He was driving at a break neck speed
They got to the police station after fifteen minutes.James parked the car and together with the padre they both walked in
Two policemen dressed in blue police uniforms were there waiting for any person ready to file a report when James and the padre walked in
“Good afternoon gentlemen how can we help you?” One police officer asked
“Excuse me sir we wanted to see one suspect who was brought here in the morning hours” James replied
“Okay and what is his or her name?” the police officer asked while opening the record book that was full of names of the people who had been locked inside the cell
“Her name is Linda,please check I am sure they must have arrived into this police station”
“Sir nobody by the name Linda has checked in today,maybe you should wait for some few more minutes” the police officer said and closed the record book
“What but that isn’t possible,she was arrested many hours ago by the detective,they must have arrived” added James
“Wait did you just say the detective?” the police man asked looking curious
“Yes is everything okay? Or there is something you aren’t telling me officer”
“Which detective do you say arrested Linda?”
“Detective Frank officer and that was many hours ago”
“You won’t believe what am about to tell you sir”
“Go on,is my wife okay has she been kidnapped or what has happened?”
“The detective was involved in an accident while traveling to the police station but that is not even the bone of contention”
“What do you mean officer”
“The so called suspect escaped back into the hospital and took away the dead body she claimed to be her husband without anyone noticing, as we are speaking now some of our men have been deployed to look for her and they are on their way to Tsavo forest”
“Jesus! What is really wrong with Linda? Padre let us move faster so that we catch up with her too” James said and the two of them left the station into the car and drove off
The sniffer dogs had led the police to the forest, everyone was now confused as to why Linda would just run into a large forest like this one all alone with a dead body
The police got out of their vehicles and stood discussing their next moves
,some of them held the sniffer dogs so that they don’t run into the forest
“What should we do now? This forest is dangerous but as you can see the dogs have led us here” the police commander said
“Sir you give us the order and we shall do as you say without questioning” one officer shouted, ” Yes sir we take orders from you and nobody else” another police officer added
“Okay as your commander,I say that we should go in and get that criminal once and for all” he said and immediately the officers released the dogs into the forest
They were just about to move in when James together with the padre arrived,the car was moving at a very high speed but he applied the emergency break and it stood,it was almost losing control but he managed to control it.They jumped off from the car and followed the police
