Bradley stopped moving immediately, she was panicking… he did a great job last night in scaring her and somehow the thought bothers him.
“I’m sorry okay.. last night, I.. I just wasn’t me” Bradley raised his hands in utter distress. Iris heaved.
“I… it’s fine” Iris muttered and Bradley sighed.
“It’ll be okay if you tell me you ain’t alright.. you don’t have to lie” he said and Iris fixed her eyes on the tiles.

“I’m fine sir.. if you don’t mind I would like to take my leave” she bowed and Bradley nodded.

Iris turned around and padded herself out of the office. She wanted to tell him off, call him a jerk but that’s all in her imaginations. She rolled her eyes and entered her office meeting the devil smiling at her seat.
“You know… I thought the boss gonna fire your αss yesterday but seemed I was wrong” Jocelyn shrugged before standing from her chair.
Iris totally ignored her and went over to her desk… she already had a bunch of problem to deal with and she isn’t gonna answer a bįtch who’s jobless.
“Boss got a thing for you right?” Jocelyn whispered.. Iris raised a brow looking her in the eyes.
“I.. don’t know what your problem is with me but.. I think you can do a more better job staying off my way” Iris said bluntly and Jocelyn chuckled.
“I take that as a Yes.. ” she clicked her tongue and sat on Iris’s desk.
Iris knew that somehow the boss was watching them and …
“I have worked with the boss for 3 years now. . and I won’t watch you snatch him.. ” Jocelyn said aggressively.
Iris scoffed..
“I have an important work to do and if you’re less busy you can go f**k the boss, I don’t give a damn! ” Iris snapped and Jocelyn’s mouth dropped.

“You mean you stay here?” Jordan exclaimed walking into the house with Megan behind him. She smiled sheepishly…
“Well, not alone.. I have this girlfriend and her daughter who stays with me” Megan shrugged and sat on the couch taking off her flat shoes.
“Oh.. you live with a single mom?” he asked settling beside her.
“Well, yeah.. sort of” she muttered and Jordan nodded.
“You’ve grown muscular..” Megan commented and Jordan huffed before chuckling.
“You mean this?” he asked flaunting his arms as his muscles flexed. Megan laughed before swatting his arm.
“Seriously Gani.. 5 years have been a long time” he muttered and Megan heaved staring at his face.
“What part of the world have you been?” she asked and he rubbed his palms together.
“London?” he said and Megan smiled..
“New York” she mumbled and Jordan turned to her as her heart skipped a beat.
“Why are you here?” he asked and Megan looked away.
“It’s a long story I.. ”
“You don’t wish to talk about today” Jordan interrupted and Megan smiled staring at her hands.
“Yeah..” she whispered and Jordan moved closer holding her hands.
He caressed them and their eyes met.. Megan’s heart was threatening to rip out of her chest. She was scared he’d hear how loud her heart was thumping.
“I missed you” he whispered and she blinked..
“I missed my best friend ” he muttered before pulling her into a hug. Megan was surprised well, she thought they’d be more than friends but guess she was wrong… he still saw her as a friend.
Her face fell..
“Yeah, I missed you too”

“You’ve searched on IG?” a guy asked another one whose eyes were fixed on a computer.
He shook his head..
“It seems like she disappeared from the earth.. I can’t find her on any social media platform” the guy complained before turning the computer off.
“Give up bro.. she probably isn’t alive. She might be dead somewhere” The first guy said and the other one sighed.
“If dad finds out you’re still pinning for this girl.. then I can’t assure your safety remember her mum?” the first guy said turning away.
“Yeah I.. ” the second one paused as his hands went into his hair.
“I know but I can’t just let her go.. I have a child with her” he said and the first one shrugged. He’s just so stubborn.

Iris returned a little early because it was a Friday, she picked up Anna from school and they went home together although Savannah barely said anything to Iris.
“Anna.. ” Iris called but the girl looked away. Iris heaved… this was gonna be hard, not when she doesn’t have an answer for the girl.
“How was school?” she asked instead and Anna sighed
“It was good..” she shrugged and looked at the other kids with their dads.
It was Iris turn to look away.. they said nothing to each other after that.

“I would get going now.. it was fun spending the whole morning with you” Jordan winked and Megan laughed.
They’d made lunch.. watch some movies and talk. So far, Jordan had just broken up with his girlfriend in NYC before coming over.
“I.. I’m supposed to go get the kid now” Megan said tucking her hair behind her ear.
Jordan raised a brow..
“I mean my girlfriend’s daughter” Megan rolled her eyes and Jordan muttered an ‘oh’.
The door opened and Iris walked in with Savannah… Megan was surprised.
Iris’s eyes met with Jordan’s and their eyes locked..
“Iris meet Jordan, Jordan meet Iris my.. housemate and that’s Savannah” Megan chortled excitedly.
Jordan blinked and Iris looked away flushed..
“Nice meeting you” they said together and Jordan scratched his hair while Iris smiled looking away shyly.
Savannah waved at Jordan then hugged Megan before walking into her room.
“He was just about leaving..” Megan said and Jordan turned to her immediately.
“I don’t mind staying for a while..” he glanced at Iris then back at Megan who looked surprised.
“That’s if you want..” he added immediately and Megan clasped her hands together.
“Yeah… sure” she smiled
“I’ll go freshen up” Iris muttered and left for her room while Jordan stared at her back till she disappeared.
“That’s the single mum?” Jordan asked and Megan gave him a puzzled look.
“Yeah of course” she rolled her eyes
“Geez… she’s cute”..
