“I refuse to!” Adeline gnarled, the finality of her declaration hitting them in the faces like tornado.
The looks that appeared on their faces after that was priceless, especially Igor.
Trixie and Sin seems less surprised though. Since Adeline gave them a taste of her wrath in Trixie’s suite the other time, they know her worth.
“He’s insane” Trixie muttered.
“Spending so much time with Madd is dangerous yunno” Sin shrugged.
Kimberly was gritting in pains as more and more of her air got confiscated.
She couldn’t breathe as her legs began leaving the ground.
Adeline is lifting her!
Her eyes rolled to the back of her head, and she began gasping for air.
“Let go of the bรฎtch. Master is fine” Jinx’s voice came, and Adeline’s angry eyes calmed immediately.
She looked back and took in a clear view of the scene.
Mercy’s body is on the ground, but it’s headless.
Madden really beheaded her before Kimberly’s bullet came, but the bullet hit the wall cos he ducked when Adeline screamed his name.
The machete in his hand is just as bloody as the ground.
His face is smeared with Mercy’s blood too, and he slowly faced everyone.
His right hand went to his face, and he drew some of the blood to his lips, painting his lips deep red too before smiling devilishly, his eyes the darkest shade it has ever been.
Adeline let go of Kimberly, and when she got back to her feet, she came back for Adeline and nearly punched her.
Loud intervened this time, and immediately the punch landed on his face, he returned it twice.
Kimberly fell on the ground at Igor’s feet, blood escaping her mouth as she looked up at Loud.
“Don’t cry” he tauntingly told her.
Igor and Andrei couldn’t talk anymore.
What is there to talk about when their hands seems tied, and the real goods aren’t even here.
“Let’s move” Igor suddenly talked, leading the way out of the room.
Andrei followed, then Trixie and Sin with the others.
Kimberly was the last to stand to her feet, and she threw sour as fรปck looks at Adeline before leaving with the others.
“That was epic. Who knew things would get this chaotic” Jinx said.
Madden dropped the bloody machete on the ground, and Adeline was already walking to him when several boys rushed into the hall.
Mercy’s boys.
“Having incompetent fools like y’all as bodyguards is a disgrace to Mercy. Her head left her neck three minutes ago, and y’all are just coming?” Loud said tauntingly.
There are over fifty of them, and they surrounded them in the hall, ready to maim and waste lives.
The last one to come in among then threw an explosive at Adeline’s angle.
Adeline went flat on the floor, rolling down the tiled ground as the explosive began uprooting the tiles, scattering pieces of concrete all-over the place.
Adeline rolled to where Madden is, and he dragged her up to his side.
The hot fight started immediately.
Loud and Jinx led the others, and they squarely faced Mercy’s boys, killing and thrashing the shit out of them.
Thunder Tribe are strong as fรปck, but definitely not as strong as any mobster from the Orlovs clan, except for the weak ones.
“Stay with Loud and Jinx. Take care of these bastards” Madden told Adeline.
“Where are you going?” She asked, covering her nose with her black mask.
“Just do as I fuรงking say” He glared.
“No I’ll follow you… Loud and Jinx will take care of this place” she insisted.
“You little shi…
“We’ll take care of things Master. It’s a promise” Loud said from the top of a table.
Adeline and Madden turned and saw him gouging out the eyes of a guy with a combat knife.
Jinx is far up the hall, smashing heads on the wall and breaking necks.
“Bring Mercy’s body to the compound” Madden said.
“Yes Master!” They both chorused.
Madden left the hall through the backdoor, and Adeline followed.
One of the men tried blocking them by throwing another explosive their way, but Madden took Adeline’s gun from her.
He fired at the explosive, and the round ball flew back to the guy who threw it, splitting him up to different parts.
They were able to leave the bloody hall afterwards, and two minutes of sprinting down a long flight of stairs brought them back to the parking lot.
Adeline was about to open the car door for him when he took it from her.
“Try opening the door for me again, and you’re dead! How many damn times do you want me to tell you I don’t need you doing that shit!” He snarled.
“Are you mad at me? It looks like it” she replied, and he rolled his red eyes away from her.
“We can’t take this” he said, hitting his shoe on the Cherokee.
That was when Adeline noticed what’s going on.
The tyres are flat…all four tyres.
Obviously, it got deflated cos every other car in the park has deflated tyres.
“Igor” she muttered.
Madden didn’t wait another second before waltzing out of the park, and Adeline followed fast.
They got out of the underground park and came out to the main road.
Luckily for them, a motorbike is zooming towards their direction.
Madden stood in front ot it, and the biker boy stopped a second before he’d hit him.
“What the fรปck! Do you wanna die? I could have…
He couldn’t finish his statement when he looked up to see his bloody face and the gun in Adeline’s hand.
“Get down” Madden told him, sternly.
“Yes sir” he replied obediently, getting down the bike.
Madden climbed on, and Adeline climbed behind him.
None bothered to use the helmet before Madden drove fast down the road like air, leaving the helpless boy there.
“That wasn’t nice” Adeline said behind him.
He didn’t reply, so she went quiet, deciding to return the energy.
She shifted back on the bike so there’s space between them, but the moment he rounded a corner and she almost fell off the bike, she quickly slid back to him, wrapping her arms back on his body.
“Are you mad at me?” She asked again, and she received nothing but his silence again.
‘Fuck you’ she said in her mind, deciding to keep quiet for the second time.
She really really wants to, but naturally, she hates his silence so badly.
She almost bit off her tongue throughout the silent drive, but then she got occupied when they arrived at a different district.
THUNDER TRIBE was boldly written on the front board, and as they entered the town, she could already see the slums and ghettos full of thugs and touts.
So this is where Mercy came from, and she had that much guts?
Adeline was already boiling even before Madden stopped the bike.
They both got down and were instantly surrounded by the boys.
“You already know what I’m here for. I hate long talks, it exhausts me” Madden said.
“We promised Mercy to protect the goods with our lives… You should leave, you’re not getting them” a tall guy said, and Madden chuckled.
“You heard the part where I said i hate long talks?” He said, his eyes freezing back.
Adeline wondered what he’s planning in his ruined head again.
“And I’m saying you need to leave. You’re not even an Orlov. You’re not the Pakhan’s son so you have no right to the clan goods. We have orders from Mercy to only release the bags for Igor, and he’s currently on his way to get them with his team” the guy replied again, and Madden grabbed his neck in a swift move.
He snatched a bottle of beer from one of them and smashed it on the wall, then he shoved the sharp edge into the guy’s neck, stabbing out his flesh.
“Arhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” His scream was sonorous as it came out with his blood.
“How pleasuring, the scream of agony” Madden muttered, letting go of his body.
The rest attacked immediately, but no time for silly fights.
He retrieved his gun and began sharing bullets to their heads like salaries.
Adeline followed his lead, shooting relentlessly too.
Fifty percent of the guys shot back, and another fifty percent began running into hiding, but none of the percentages are lucky.
Adeline never misses a shot, and it’s same with Madden himself.
Within ten minutes, the town became a ghost town, no single living human.
The two stood in the middle of the bodies, and Adeline released a stressed breath before facing him.
He’s like a cannibal, like a wild animal in need of a prey to feed on.
He’s bloodthirsty.
He got back on the bike, but this time, Adeline didn’t use the bike with him.
She got on one of the bikes of the dead thugs, and they both drove madly into the town, the full lights of their bikes pouring on the snow.
According to research, Mercy’s parents aren’t living in this town at all.
They live in the bayou, and they’re the only ones she trusts.
If she’s gonna keep the goods at all, then it’ll be with them, but the problem here is that Igor’s team left earlier.
Madden directed his bike into a dry forest, and Adeline followed him behind.
By road, the journey to the bayou is an hour, but by this place, it’s cut to thirty minutes.
The fact that there’s no tyre prints on the snow means Igor’s team took the road, meaning they still have a chance.
The race was life-threatening, but Madden gives no fรปck about anything at all.
He was doing it with his life, and as Adeline drove behind him, she couldn’t help but wonder just what kind of human he is.
Nah… scratch that.
He’s a beast like Angelika said.
He cares about the clan more than anything else, and sometimes more than his life.
What is his childhood story?
Ninety nine percent of people who’re fuรงked up in the head like this have scary childhood tales, and she can’t wait to find out what’s his own
Truckload of questions bothered her throughout the ride, but she didn’t lose focus till they finally arrived at the bayou.
They came out to the thin road, and Adeline was thrilled to see how they build houses in this area.
They’re so small like huts, and there aren’t much of them. The area is water-filled and marshy.
Another five minutes drive brought them to one of the houses, and Madden stopped his bike on the snow.
Adeline followed suit, and they stepped down at once.
Madden barged into the house, and they met the old couple eating their late dinner.
Immediately they saw bloodied Madden, they froze, standing slowly.
“Who’re… who’re you guys?” The husband stuttered in fear.
“Your daughter kept some bags here…” Madden said, bringing out his gun threateningly.
“Nn…no” the wife stuttered.
Madden loaded the gun, and the husband went on his knees..
“Yes! Yes she did! They’re in the kitchen cabinets!” He said, pointing at the kitchen.
Adeline quickly went to check. She opened the three cabinets and saw the bags stacked inside.
She got them out and shattered the window with the rolling stick.
From there, she threw the bags at the back of the house before going back to the living room.
“Got em” she told Madden, and Madden almost shot the couple, but she blocked him.
“I know you’re heartless but you’re not killing them! Their daughter did wrong, not them” she said defensively.
“Not them, there’s a rat” he replied, pulling the trigger.
A mobster fell dead on the ground by the backdoor.
One of Igor’s team members!
Meaning… Igor’s team are here!
The fleeting sound of something made Madden grab Adeline by the wrist.
They ran to the shattered kitchen window together, jumping down through it.
Immediately they fell on the bags of goods, the house exploded.
Madden stood, carried the bags one by one and threw them to safety before pulling Adeline again, but she wouldn’t move, so he faced her and saw her staring at the burning house with glassy eyes.
“Move!” He said.
“The couple… The old couple…they were in the house… They got bombed…they….
“You wanna fight someone about it? Then fight Igor when you get back to the compound” Madden told her.
“If my parents were still alive, they’d be the same age as them…” Adeline faced him.
“So you wanna go die with them?” He emptily replied, and she hit his chest hard.
“Have some empathy! Show some pity! Be a human for once! They did nothing wrong!!” She yelled.
“I didn’t kill them, it’s not my damn headache to nurse” he darkly replied, and when she made to talk again, he easily carried her, throwing her on his shoulder.
“Put me down beast! Put me down!!” She was biting and nailing him as he took her down the place, but he felt nothing.
He got his phone and contacted Jinx.
