Jasmine is married to my husband and three months pregnant already “. I laughed in frustration. I laughed and emptied the bottle of alcohol. Lola dragged it from me.
“Which Jasmine?”. Lola’s eyes almost pulled out of its’ socket. “You know I travelled to UK to see my fiance and had to buy some things for our wedding at once. I haven’t been around for over three months now. Besides, I’ve been calling you but you don’t answer!”. Lola explained. Her looks were terrifying. I smiled.
“Jesus! It can’t be true! Jasmine can’t do that! God!”. She exclaimed.
“Jasmine who can’t do that has done it! You needed to have seen the impetus! I don’t have true friends anymore. It’s painful!”. As I talked, tears accompanied my words.

“Guess what, Genevieve! The court has finally concluded the case. My late father’s properties have been handed back to me and those his wicked relatives jailed for theft and character defilement. The three estates in Lagos, the four companies and the two banks he established are all now mine!”. Apollo jubilated. I could sense the happiness in his tone.
“Oh, because you have money now! You want to come and marry her?”. Lola fired. Apollo smiles faded. He took a deep breath.
“Not really. I’m just sharing my joy with her. I’ve been unhappy for ten years. I’m actually from a wealthy home, but my uncles took everything from me and rendered me homeless.”
