Victor walked back into the house feeling very happy.Faith had arrived at home some few minutes later,the mother was taking lunch when she got in.Her father was not back so she had served herself and went into her room,locked and continued eating while chatting with her phone plugged in the charger.
I was seated in the sofa as Belcy was busy washing the dishes.Faith had video call and we were admiring each other and smiling at each other on the call.We were on the call for not less than an hour then we continued chatting, all this time Victor had tried calling her but she was ending his calls.
After seven attempted calls,she finally received the call.Victor could not hide his anger at what the girlfriend was doing to him.She just kept quiet,pretending to weep while shedding tears asking for forgiveness that she was busy.The two had talked for some time after he had forgiven her.
After they ended the call,she quickly went to her gallery and stared at the picture that Fayez had sent her.The filters had made him look more handsome.She stared at his clean unshaved beards as she smiled, slowly by slowly she was falling for someone’s husband and distancing herself from Victor.
‘Can you send me your son’s picture?’ she had asked him.
Without hesitation the man had sent the picture of him holding a son of roughly two years on his arms.The boy was fair just like his father,they resembled.Their skin was like that of a mixed race but much darker.

‘ I understand but please think of it’ she said as she turned off the data and lay on the the king sized bed.
She was now very happy,she zoomed the picture of Fayez and started kissing it.She couldn’t tell why she was doing that but for the few days they had met,she felt complete.The gap in her heart was filled,she jumped on the tiled floor and yelled at a lower voice so that her mother could not hear her.
After she was done with lunch She took the plate outside where her mother was busy washing the dishes. She couldn’t hide the joy in her and even though she wanted to hide,her gestures still betrayed her and the mother saw how happy she was.
“ Cheru,you look happy today whom did you meet in the church?”
“ No one ma, am just feeling happy.Mama you make me happy,you are the best mum in the world” she said as she walked away.
“ Thank you my daughter” the mother had shouted to make sure she heard her.
She lay facing the ceiling and started laughing not that she had seen something funny,NO.The thought of Fayez made her smile that she found herself laughing,for the first time she wasn’t thinking about Victor.
Her phone notification dinged.She switched the phone and realized that Fayez had sent her 15K on Mpesa.She threw the phone on the bed and started dancing.She then received another message,she was curious so she switched on the phone faster and read the message sent by Fayez.
