I was not just promoted but with a huge increment in my pay.

My Joy knew no boundaries, I jumped for joy that I hugged my manager unknowingly.

Everyone was happy for me as well.

I told myself I was going to sit up this time, I will do the needful when necessary.

I became a big girl with a twinkle of an eye.

Tayo went back home disappointed, still trying my line but to no avail.

Immediately Tayo left, Angela and her gang untied me, and promised to take me to the land of no return if I dare her for more time.

I lay down on the cold floor weak and exhausted, after some minutes,Tayo appeared with his working tools, trying to break the door with force, but the door opened, and almost capsized him to the floor.

Tayo ran to me in shock and asked what happened, I stared at him with my eyes almost closing as I couldn’t say a word.

He quickly booked an Uber and rushed me to the hospital.

After being attended to, I regained consciousness and narrated what happened.

Tayo reached out to the police immediately and Angela and her gang were declared wanted.

I was relieved, thinking that was the end, not knowing that I had brought a cross I couldn’t carry upon myself.
