???????? My Boss Next Door EPISODE FOURTEEN: ????
Caleb brought in Nuella, his beautiful daughter. She was as cute as Caleb.
From her curly hair to the hair on her skin, to the soft lips and other beautiful parts of her body.
I didn’t wait for her to be introduced when I hugged and spun her round.
I was really happy to have her, and of course I’ve always loved and cared for children. So Caleb’s child wasn’t an exception.
Nuella was 5 years old, She was Soo smart and beautiful, she was so happy to see me.
She started bonding with me almost immediately.
We started gisting as I asked her about her schools and other things.
In most of the things she shared, she didn’t really mention her mother Benita, she was always mentioning Juliet her Nanny.
I thought of it and I concluded that Benita never had her daughter’s time.
I was really happy and grateful to God for the decision I made, not knowing it will in return drown me.
**. Nuella was so happy to finally wake up to see her daddy every morning, she will always scream out on Caleb if he wanted to go out. “Dad are you leaving me? ” Mom please talk to Dad I want to go with him”, she will say to me. And we all will laugh.
We started making plans to change her school, and get her new stuff .
**. ***. **. ***.
Weeks later, Benita appeared in my house.
Caleb was not home, so I went out to ask her why she had to come without anyone’s permission.
Benita immediately took it so personal ” can I not come to my baby daddy’s house again? ” So I can’t come to check on my daughter in her father’s house again. “Madam fiancee, respect yourself and don’t let me discern you”. She said.
I kept quiet and let her in. She continued shouting in the house and saying all sorts of things.
I placed a call through to Caleb to come home immediately.
A few moments later, Caleb arrived and Benita wasn’t moved by his presence.
She sat still and continued lamenting.
Caleb ordered her out of the house and she left.
I had already regretted why I told Caleb to bring Nuella in to stay with us.
**. All through the time Benita spent in the house, Nuella didn’t come out to welcome her.
I didn’t let that bother me, because I knew she didn’t have time for her daughter.
She was just out there looking for who to devour.
Benita kept coming to and fro to my house in the name of checking up on her child, and would sometimes want to pick a fight with me, but I was always careful.
**. **. One day, she came in around 9pm in the night, with lots of goodies for us.
I was surprised by her actions but I kept calm and collected the items from her.
After a few hours, she raised the alarm that she wasn’t going home as it was already late at night.
She begged me to talk to Caleb for her to be able to spend the night in my house till the next day.
I pleaded with Caleb and he accepted.
**. It was in the middle of the night when I rolled my hand to the other edge of the bed and Caleb was not there.
I checked the bathroom to see if he was there, but I couldn’t find him.
I went back to sleep for a few minutes but he didn’t return.
I got worried and went downstairs to the living room, still Caleb was not there.
I heard some noise coming from the kitchen, so I traced the sounds to the kitchen and behold , Caleb and Benita were at it.
I screamed hard as I fell to the floor and became unconscious.
**********************************************
The next morning I woke up in the hospital, I was still trying to figure out what happened and how I got there, when I started to feel some pain around my abdomen.
I cried loudly and called on the doctors and nurses.
Quickly they came through and confirmed I was in labour.
I was immediately attended to, and after some minutes of screaming and the nurses walking to and fro. I delivered a bouncing baby boy.
I was deeply in joy to see my son and I alive.
Caleb, on hearing the news came in all joyful, but a bit scared as to if I would pick a quarrel concerning what had happened the night before.
I didn’t want anything or anyone to stop my happiness, so I allowed him to do what he wanted to do.
He ran up and down, calling his cousin and friends to come to my aid.
I stayed in the hospital for two days before I was discharged.
I got home and met a new Nanny and two other maids waiting to welcome me.
Caleb’s friends came with different gifts to celebrate with me.
Caleb’s daughter, Nuella was all joyful as she had a younger brother.
She was always beside me holding her brother’s hand.
**************
Benita shamelessly came along with other visitors.
She brought her gifts and was all over me. “Congratulations our wife, she said meanly.
It was dawned on me that this fight had just begun.
Benita was not ready to leave Caleb, and Caleb too couldn’t get over her.
She even volunteered to prepare food for me, but I disagreed and told my maids not to let her smell my kitchen.
Benita didn’t mean well for me when she picked a fight with me because I denied her access to my kitchen.
***My wedding was a week ahead and I strongly warned Caleb to cancel it.
As I was not ready to have a co-wife.
True to Benita’s words I was almost at the stage of becoming a baby mama.
But God saved me as Caleb’s parents moved to Nigeria to be able to plan my introduction and white wedding properly.
His parents and two sisters were warm and welcoming, they all loved me and embraced me with open arms.
Benita suddenly stopped coming to the house when she heard that Caleb’s parents had returned.
I narrated everything that had happened to Caleb’s parents and they were seriously angry and warning Caleb.
“Benita contributed majorly to Caleb’s downfall right from America, and if she is given the chance, she may ruin Caleb’s life totally”. Caleb’s mom said angrily.
” Anyhow you are going to get that girl out of your life, better do, you see my grand children, nothing, I mean nothing should happen to them. She added
Caleb’s parents never let me lack anything, they were all at my service anytime I wanted something.
I was at ease at least, I had hoped and I took the words of Caleb’s mother.
But Benita always had her ways.
A month later, Benita broke the news of being pregnant for Caleb, but Caleb’s mother disagreed strongly and told her get ready for a DNA test.
