One year later, Ada gave birth to a baby girl. They named her Fatima. Two years later, they had a baby boy and named him Adeolu.
Ben was very happy that his family was growing. Ben and Ada teamed up to build their family. Ada always went to her shop, getting customers every day, while Ben continued working in the construction company. Ada’s business helped support the family. Naomi, blinded by her desire for revenge, dismissed his warning and clutched the figurine tightly. She thanked the native doctor and hurried back home, her mind racing with thoughts of how to carry out her plan.
That evening, Naomi disguised herself and sneaked into the construction site where Ben worked. She found a hidden spot and placed the figurine where Ben was sure to find it the next day. Satisfied with her work, she slipped away, unseen.
The next morning, Ben woke up, brushed his teeth, and took his bath. That day, he felt an uneasy feeling, an inner voice telling him not to go to work. As he and his wife Ada ate breakfast together, the feeling persisted.
As they were eating, Ben decided to share his thoughts with Ada.
” Ada, my mind keeps telling me not to go to work today. I don’t know the reason for it,” Ben said.

She tried to wake him to find out why he hadn’t changed.
“Ben,” Ada said, tapping him gently. “You didn’t remove your work clothes before sleeping. Why?”
“Oh, I didn’t realize I was still wearing them,” Ben said. “Let me go and change.”
Ben changed into fresh clothes and joined Ada.
“Ada, I need to tell you something,” he said.
“What is it?” Ada asked.
“The construction company fired me,” Ben said.
“Fired you? Why? What happened?” Ada asked, shocked.
“I don’t know what came over me. I started making mistake after mistake, doing things wrong that I had always done right,” Ben explained.
“Oh, I’m sorry, my husband. But what could be the cause of this? Is it natural or something else?” Ada wondered.
“I honestly don’t know, Ada,” Ben replied.
“I’m confused too. But only God knows the final say in this matter,” Ada said.
“Thank God I have my business. I will support our family, Ben. Don’t worry yourself. I’m happy that I have a shop where I can work,” Ada reassured him.
Three weeks later, the strain of unemployment began to take its toll on Ben. He felt frustrated and helpless, and these feelings started to manifest as anger.
