The long hectic and not as planned day was over.
Hope and Jane finally arrived home and she rushed up stairs to check for Lucian.
She pushed the doors open only to find out that he had just finished the fourth bottle of a strong alcoholic drink.
She rushed to him and snatched the fifth body off his hands.
“What are you doing? Doing you want to get yourself drunk to death?” Hope snapped.
“I wish I could just die, this life is a mess” he said and immediately burst into a cry.
She cuddled hime like a baby.
“It’s okay,Lucian, it will all be fine” she said with faith irrespective of the big situation at hand.
“We’re leaving the country after the judges concluded on their impossible opinion tomorrow at the court” he said and her eyes widened.
“Leaving why?” She snapped.
“We can keep up with this challenges. Ever since we fell in love the world has been trying to break us apart, so it’s better we leave to the country” he concluded.
Jaden couldn’t just seat back and watch the introspective guilt of him while his innocency cried to be heard.
He sat in his room and quickly focused his whole mind into his laptop – being a hacker, he could hack into anything.
“Okay, here we go” he muttered as he cracked his fingers and the keyboard clacked to the touch of his fingers.
He streamed down into all camera services available and then founds the camera in the Wilfred’s mansion.
He zooms in and did what he was known for – hack.
He hacked into the camera footage and downloaded the footage that got everything that happened between Mrs Aurora and him at the sun room.
He downloaded the file to his system and transfered it into his flash drive.
“Yes!” He exclaimed with a deep sigh as his head relaxed on the office chair he sat on.
“I must give this to him by tomorrow morning” he muttered to himself as he shuts down his laptop.
MCCALL’S MANSION – DINNING ROOM~
Lucian explained how the whole incident and how it happened including what Jaden told him.
“If truly Mrs Natasha is behind all this then we need to speak out”
“And you think those riff raff out there will a listening ears?” Jane scolded and Hope exhaled.
“I just have to choose a opinion at the court tomorrow after my lawyer tries his possibly best” Lucian said as if all hope was lost. The dinning chair he sat on, scrapped the tiled floor as he stood up and left.
“I’ll talk to him” Hope stood up but Mrs Aurora’s grasp held her back.
“Let him be for some time” she said and Hope looked at the direction he went and a deep sigh escaped her lips and she sat down.
HOURS LATER~
Hope went upstairs to his room and found him fast asleep.
She smiled staring how cute he looked when he’s asleep.
“Goodnight” she kissed his forward before joining hin on the bed but faced the other angle.
Her eyes slowly falling asleep and she felt his delicate touch on her arm. She turned and their eyes locked – both eyes glaring into each other.
“I love you” he whispered to her and she smiled.
“I love you too” she whispered back and his face came closer to her – she could feel the intensity of his breath and he could also feel hers.
“I loved you first” he whispered and they both chuckled softly and then, they kissed.
Even with the problem on their name, it didn’t stop their love for each other.
They broke the kiss and their eyes slowly opened as a soft chuckle escape her lips.
Her fingers caress his cheek.
“You’re not getting arrested tomorrow and your company is not shutting down” Hope spoke with faith and he smiled.
“Why do you say so?” He muttered and she chuckled.
“Cause you’re innocent” she replied and her hugged her tightly as they fell asleep together.
(THE NEXT DAY)
The court is buzzing with the indistinct chattering of the audience and all other representatives.
The Mccall’s family walked and the chattering grew louder than before as all eyes stared at them.
Mr and Mrs McCall took the front seat and Jane joined them as well as Hope while Lucian stood seeing at the front of the whole audience.
“Do you have a hand in the explosion that happened yesterday?” The judge asked loud and clear.
Lucian paused for a moment.
“I absolutely have nothing to do with that” he replied firmly, his eyes looking at Hope.
“Everyone says the explosion took place at your company’s vacinity and in it cause killed 40 people”
“I am innocent my lord” he replied almost immediately.
“Well… you have no proff, do you?” The judge asked and he nodded.
“Hmm. Before I judge the case, some journalist and reporters wants to ask you a few question” the judge said and a gentle lady on black suit raise her hands up, and was picked afterwards.
“Mr Lucian, what do you have to say about the 40 lives lost?” The tall lady asked – she seems to be a reporter with the quality of her dressing and acts.
Lucian took in a deep breath.
“I have nothing to say” Lucian replied coldly and the lady took her seat.
A young man who seems to also be a reporter stood up.
“What exactly happened out there?” The young man asked.
“I have no idea” Lucian seems not to be interested in their questions as he had answer to them.
The man took his seat and the judge took over.
“We’ve come to the end of the questions since, Lucian here, has no definite answer” Lucian shot glares at the judge as he spoke.
The judge took in a deep breath.
“The government has concluded that you either get arrested and sentenced to a life imprisonment or, your company will be shut down forever if no proff of your innocency is showed”
Lucian exhaled deeply as the judge continued.
“Now, you can decide on which to choose” the judge said and everyone’s full focused were in him.
“I choose none” he suddenly said, and all the audience were stunned with his statement.
“Young man, time is of the essence, unless you have a proff” the judge said impatiently.
“What’s going on?”
“What’s he saying?”
“He’s got to be kidding”
The audience clamored among themselves.
“I have no evidence to show fourth neither do I choose any of those impossible opinions”
Lucian had no fear, his voice completely cold and he wasn’t changing a dime about it.
The clock is ticking and he still stood by his words.
“What’s he doing?” Jane whispered into Hope’s ears.
“I don’t know, but I love it” she smiled at him.
“Oh, I see” Jane said softly.
“I just wanted a bright future for me and my fiancee” he smiled as he looked at the direction Hope was. She smiled back.
“And if you choose to arrest me and shut down my company then at least I have the one in a lifetime treasure” he aloud, his eyes staring at Hope and his family.
“I closedon’t my eyes and saw the world awaiting our future” he continued.
“Enough!” The judge held the hammer in his hands.
“I hereby declare you a life imp-”
And immediately the judge’s statement was cut short by the loud opening of the door.
Everyone gasp and turned only to see Jaden panting.
“Wait!” He yelled under his heavy breath. He walked up to Lucian and stood in between the judge desk and the audience.
“He’s innocent!” Jaden announced loudly and everyone began to chatter something barely audible.
“What are you doing?” Lucian whispered nervously and Jaden looked at him.
“I’m saving your ass” he winked and faced the audience.
“Who are you?” The judge asked.
“For the record my lord, I’m his backup Lawyer” Jaden said.
“What’s he doing?” Hope whispered into Jane’s ears.
“I don’t know, but I love it” Jane giggled.
“Oh, I see” Hope laughed softly.
“Lucian here is innocent and I can prove it with this” he brought out the flash drive in his pocket and a loud chatter broke out in the hall.
“Silent!” The judge slammed the hammer and a sudden silence filled the air.
“Mrs Natasha is the one who is guilty. She threatened me to bring a bomb to his wedding and if I didn’t do it, she would kill me” he went on and explained the whole scene which made the whole audience gasp in disbelief.
“She’s also responsible for the explosion at the McCall’s mansion” he added and they all gasp in shock.
The flash drive was taken from him and they inserted postponed the case.
“I hereby postpone this case as we go into full investigation of the proff. We shall all meet again by tomorrow. Time, 11am in the morning” the judge declared with as the hammer of authority collided with the desk.
All the audience stood up chattering and they left.
The McCall’s family gathered around and hugged Lucian while Jane hugged Jaden.
“How did you do it?” Jane asked and everyone stared at him, eagerly waiting for his reply.
“Do what?” He asked back.
“Come up with the proff” Jane said.
“Oh” he chuckled. “I hacked into Mrs Natasha’s Cctv camera and downloaded the footage of how she forced me to do her dirty works” he said and they laughed softly.
They were flowing with excitement, not until Lucian said, “It’s not over yet, not until the country sees that footage as the evidence and clear the McCall’s name of the mess.”
