Raymond picked her bag afterwards and grabbed her arm roughly
He dragged her out of the office and opened the elevator door, he roughly pushed her inside, making her fall before throwing her bag at her
“Wench, shameless fool .. if you dare show your face in my house on in this company again, I’ll kill you….” He said as the elevator door closed
He started the search for Emery since she’s not in her office
He searched the restrooms and washrooms but she’s not there either
Then he went to Glenn’s office
He opened the door abruptly
“Where’s Emery? ” He asked Straight
“Emery?, I haven’t seen her at work today, I was just about to go to her office, is she not around? ‘ she asked
Raymond roughed his hair and hit the wall with his fist
“Is something wrong?” Glenn asked
“Bloody Liz came to my office and did something terrible to her” he replied
” What! ”
” I wasn’t in the office, that’s why it happened like that.. she must be so mad at me right now, I just want to see her and apologize on my knees” he said soberly
” Where could she have gone? ” Glenn wondered aloud
Raymond rushed out of her office
“Why did this have to happen now?” Glenn wondered , dialling her number but she’s not picking
Raymond never bothered to take the elevator, he took the lift and even ran on it till he got down
He searched the whole floor but she’s nowhere to be found
He went out of the company completely but still, it’s futile
He stood lifelessly and stared at the company
“What to do?, What do I do?” He wondered frustratedly
He went back into the office and took the nylon he threw down earlier
It’s actually a new phone he got for her
He actually went for a conference earlier but it wasn’t scheduled, that’s why she didn’t know about it
He dropped the phone on the table and sighed heavily
Then he saw some strands of hair on the floor

So Liz actually pull out part of it
He hit his hand on the table and left the office again
He got to her desk and met her phone and bag
“Where did she go?, Home?, She can’t possibly go home like that” he thought as Glenn appeared
” No wonder she’s not picking” she said, looking at her phone on her desk
“Have any idea of where she’ll be?” He asked
“No, at all, cos something like this has never happened before” she replied
He sighed
Emery actually borrowed the jacket of another female staff to wear on top of her torn shirt
She buttoned it in the front so it’ll cover up
She cried even in the bus, she stayed in the bus everywhere it went, not bothering to come down
“It hurts” she kept thinking
“I’ve not started dating him and it’s like this, what if I date him?.. and she said I’m cheap, Am I really cheap?” She thought again, wiping the water coming out of her nose as she cried
She’s in the bus till late night
“This is the last stop young lady” the bus driver said when he got to the last bus station
She managed to come out of the bus and started walking grudgingly, not having anywhere in mind
She got to a colourful park and sat, watching parents helping their kids ride the carousel and the fancy horses
She remembered when her parents were still alive, she begged for three weeks for them to take her to the amusement park
But they were too poor to grant her request
“I miss them, I miss you mum I miss you dad” she thought and started crying again
” I don’t deserve any hardship again, I don’t deserve any suffering again, I’ve suffered enough.. why me again” she thought in tears
She cried for almost an hour at the park before heading home
The walk home took almost an hour too
She got home and met someone standing in front of the house, without doubt, it’s Raymond
He looked back at her
“Emery!”
She ran in before he could utter another word
She closed the door and stayed behind it
“Emery please I’m sorry….I’m ready to say that on my knees …. Just let me see your face” he said
Tears came out of her eyes again
” I promise this won’t happen again, I really promise… Emery just open this door” he begged
She kept mute still
” Emmie …. I love you a lot” he said
She knows already so she doesn’t seem surprised, she’s just finding it difficult to open the door right now

He kept mute after that
She went in and met Glenn by the room doorstep
“I was just getting home from where I went for a search for you …. Emery what’s your problem” she said
” What do you mean?”
” Why will you tell him to go home?, You don’t want to see him?, For crying out loud what happened is not his fault and yet he’s sorry,what else do you want?”
” You won’t understand” Emery replied and fell on the bed, covering her head with the blanket completely…
Glenn sighed
“This is really not the best Emery”
Raymond got home sick
The migraine again
It’s coming more frequently these days, but maybe because of what happened today
“Boss, we made dinner already” his maids said
*I’m ok” he replied weakly, slowly climbing upstairs

That’s what he’s mostly good at, trying to hide his pains even when it’s glaring…
He got to his room and went straight to the bathroom
He poured water on his head but that only aggravated the migraine
He left the bathroom and came back to the bedroom
He wiped the water from his hair with difficulty before falling on the bed
His body temperature is as high as ever….
Blake entered his house with the intention of saying sorry again
He met his maids worried in the living room
“Where’s Ray?”
“He’s upstairs, he doesn’t seem well sir*
“The f*cking migraine again, and why is he always declining to go to the hospital” he said, climbing upstairs.
He entered his room and met him on the bed truly, shaking and sweating at the same time
“You’re just as stubborn as this migraine” he said
Raymond found it hard to even open his mouth and talk again..
Blake went to the bathroom and got a towel and water in a bowl
He came back with it and sat beside him on the bed
He started placing the wet towel gently on all parts of his face to lessen his high temp
He finally placed it on his forehead and took the water to pour away
He came back and Raymond is already fast asleep
“Kid” he said with a smile
He sat beside him and saw his bare legs showing under the duvet
He covered him well with it and sighed
“I wonder when migraine will leave you, and I hope you don’t hate me for too long for what I did” he thought…

Next morning***
Raymond woke up feeling better
He stretched himself and remembered last night
Blake
He got up from the bed and went out, he proceeded downstairs to the living room
“Is Blake still here?” He asked
“He left early this morning” they replied
He sighed
” Breakfast is ready sir”
” I’m not hungry so I’m not interested” he replied sharply before going upstairs again
He washed up and dressed for work within an hour
He left the house and drove to work, hoping to see her at least
But she’s not present
Sadness shadowed his heart as he sat on her chair, placing his arms on her table
“I miss her” he said, placing his head on her table
A reminder beeped on his phone
He checked
He has eight appointments today
“Not today” he thought and cancelled seven out of it
The remaining one is with the board members so he decided to take only that
He went into his office and sat, thinking about only her
Those lips, the curves on her hips, the smile, the way she talks gently
All that accumulated to make him fall helplessly
But now he’s missing her greatly
He smiled sadly and rested his head on his chair
He suddenly took his phone and dialled her number again and again but she’s not picking
He decided to text her
I miss you
He dropped his phone and proceeded to the meeting room
He met Blake by the doorstep of the room, about to enter too with Glenn behind him
They stopped and stared at each other for a while
“How is your health now?” Blake asked
“None of your business” he replied tactlessly before entering
Blake entered after him
The board members are already seated
Blake and Raymond sat beside each other
“Welcome Mr Raymond Crown and Mr Blake Crown” the chief said
They both bowed
” So the reason for this appointment is to inform you of a great news before informing the public”
” What is that?” Raymond asked
” The potentials of this company increased a lot since last week and has attracted a lot of bigger companies who are interested in partnership with Crown empire…”
” So this company has received recognition even in Korea, the biggest company over there is interested in partnership concerning the Whales contract”
” You mean…
“Yes, the Whales contract belongs to this empire and the biggest empire in Korea… Shinwa empire” chief announced
” This is f*cking unbelievable!” Blake said

” My God! ” Blake exclaimed happily
All this while, Raymond is lost

He came back to life
“Huh?, What’s this meeting about?” He asked obliviously

Evening**
Emery smiled widely when she saw the news on TV about Crown empire
“This is so good!” She said happily
Raymond has called her twenty times today but she kept ignoring it
She saw the message too but didn’t reply
She sighed
“I don’t want to see him yet, I don’t know what to say yet” she thought
Glenn entered, coming back from work with a lot of goodies
“Let’s celebrate Emery, our company went up, increase in the workers salary will be happening soon, yay!” She yelled, dropping the goodies on the bed
Emery took a burger and is about to open it when she remembered him again
She dropped it
“I’m not interested”
“Not today, we’re going out to celebrate” Glenn said, changing her suit
She finished changing and took Emery’s hand
She pulled her down from the bed and eventually out of the house
“Where are we going?” She asked
“To have fun” Glenn replied and winked
They went to a restaurant not far from the house and ordered something to eat and drink though Emery ate and drank only a little
“You’re quiet, making everything boring” Glenn said
“I can’t help it” she replied
” Face your fears, that’s the best, if you keep running away like this, you’ll get addicted to always be on the run but trust me the outcome is always not pleasant, you’ve always been strong so why act weak?, You love him too right?, Then damn Liz!, Go for him” Glenn said
” I really wish I’m as brave as that” she replied
Glenn stood
” It seems like my words are useless, let’s go back home,you’re making me feel sleepy” she said
Emery stood and they left the restaurant to go home
They got home and right there in front of the house, Raymond is waiting
Emery made to turn back and run away but Glenn pushed her back
“You don’t dare move” she said
“Emery” Raymond Called, coming closer
Glenn went in quickly
Raymond hugged Emery tightly
She missed this but….fear won’t let her embrace it
She slightly pulled away from him
“Emery I’m sorry, just find it in your heart to forgive me and I promise such Won’t take place again…I missed you” he said, touching her face
She stepped away again
He went on his knees immediately
“I’m sorry Emery, just forgive me already, I seriously need it, just tell me that you’re not mad at me anymore” he said on his knees
” Stand up Raymond” she said, unable to look at him
He stood
” The truth is….I don’t really feel the same way you do towards me” she lied
” Emery….
“That’s the truth”
“Emery please…
” I don’t love you…” She said and ran in instantly with tears in her eyes…
