“I am Sandy, Ashton wife” she said, introducing herself.
As soon as she said that, everyone kept shut, starring at Sandy.
It was Susan who broke the silence by saying.
“Is Ashton married?”
“No! He is not! Ashton is single, well he was married before….what I’m trying to say is that Miss Sandy here is Ashton Ex- wife and nothing else” Stanley said quickly, giving Sandy a angry look.
“I heard you are getting married to Ashton?” Sandy ask, not bothered about what she said.
“That’s right, Ashton and I are getting married ” Stephanie answer, watching the woman closely.
“Then congratulations is in order. Congrats on your upcoming marriage” Sandy said, walking back to where she was seated to take hold of Ashton hand.
“It’s too bad that I came back too late, right?” Sandy ask.
“Now look here miss, you….”
“No aunt!” Stephanie said, stopping Susan from causing a scene.
“Ashton is still unconscious. Let’s not make a scene and leave” Stephanie said, walking her aunt out of the room with Stanley following behind.
“Do not doubt Ashton because of Sandy. Everything between them ended years ago” Stanley said when they were out of the ward.
“That’s not for you to say. You aren’t Ashton and if they’ve indeed ended things like you claim, why is she here?” Stephanie threw at him and not waiting for his answer, she walk off with Susan.

“Where is she? Where the hell is she?” Lucas Maverick demand as soon as he walk into Ashton ward.
“Sir, I think you should….”
“Do not tell me to calm down! How can you let that girl near my grandson. If Ashton isn’t unconcious, he would have thrown her out himself!” Lucas said when the bathroom door open and Sandy walk out.
“You! I want you to take your things and leave this instant!” Lucas yell at her.
“If you are worried I will run into your prospective daughter in law then you shouldn’t bother cause I already did, father in law ” Sandy said, not feeling intimidated at all.
“Do not ever call me that again! How dare you? How dare you think you can waltz in here and pretend everything is fine? I saw how you made him sad, how you made him regret ever marrying you, you left without looking back and suddenly, you pop out of nowhere claiming him to be your husband. Don’t you have shame?” Lucas threw at her and that seem to get on her nerves.
“If I keep this up with you, my blood pressure will definitely get high. So do us all a favour and leave” Lucas said.
Sandy pick up her bag and made way to the door.
She open the door and turn around, starring at Lucas.
“This isn’t over. You won’t be able to get rid of me easily!” with that said, she walk out of the room.
Infuriated, Sandy walk down the hall towards the elevator.
She was about going in when she heard some nurse talking.

“I still don’t think you should be discharge yet, you look pale and you need to get some rest” Susan complain while Stephanie busied herself with Fiona.
“Apart from the little bruise on my head. I’m perfectly fine and I can’t sleep around all day while I let you handle all the work” Stephanie said.
“But I’m not complaining. I just….”
“I kind of get Stephanie point. She doesn’t want to sleep around all day while you work and also she has to stay with Fiona in this crucial time since Ashton is still unconscious” David said, intruding in their conversation.
“Damn that jerk! He keeps his ex wife around and ask Stephanie to marry him” Susan burst out in anger.
“Mommy, what’s a jerk?” Fiona ask from where she was eating her snacks.
“I think you’ve said enough dear Susan, let’s go get you something to eat ” David said, pulling Susan out of the room.
“Why is aunt Susan angry?” Fiona ask.
“She isn’t angry. She’s just blowing off some steam” Stephanie fob.
“What about Daddy? Why isn’t he here yet?”
“Your daddy is doing some important stuff, he will be here soon, don’t worry ” Stephanie fob again, hating the lie she’s making up.
“Lying to your child will make her a liar if she grows up” Sandy said by the door way alerting them of her presence.
“Why are you here?” Stephanie ask as Sandy walk in.
“Just came to see you and Ashton child, she’s pretty” Sandy said, waving at Fiona who smile at her.
“I doubt that that is why you are here”
“Fine. I came to warn you off”
“You must know already that the reason I’m here is because I want Ashton back and I don’t care if you are in the scene, I will do whatever it takes to make Ashton mine” Sandy said.
“Don’t you think it’s a waste of time? You are going after a man who doesn’t care about you, I heard you left him. Isn’t it gullible of you to think he will accept you back after what you did?” Stephanie ask.
“What happen between Ashton and I has nothing to do with you. Just keep it in mind that I want my husband back and I will stop at nothing till I get him back”
“You made a mistake, it’s ex-husband” Stephanie correct making her temper boil.
“You are really taking my words lightly. Do you think I’m joking when I say that I will stop at nothing to get Ashton back? I wonder what you will do if your daughter here happens to get into a minor accident” Sandy said and that got Stephanie cool facade fading away.
“You lay a finger on my child and I will kill you” Stephanie said with a mother’s fierceness.
“Just don’t get in my way or….”
“Or nothing! If you want Ashton he is all yours but don’t you mess with my child or my loved ones. You wouldn’t want to see me when I’m crazy!”
“Now, if you have nothing more to say, I’d like for you to leave. The smell of your foolishness is highly contagious, my daughter is smart and I wouldn’t want her being infected by your foolishness so, leave” Stephanie added.
Too dumbfounded to say a thing, Sandy let out a scoff before walking out of the ward.
Unknown to the two women, Bobby has been listening in on their conversation from the very begining.
He had arrive to see Stephanie only to find her in a heated argument with a woman laying claim on Ashton.
A smile curve his lips as he went after Sandy.
It wasn’t until they were in the elevator that he spoke to her.
“My name is Bobby Cruise and I am the owner of Roman Media. You must have heard of it, right?” He said to Sandy who gave him a death glare.
“I’m not interested in what you have to say”
“Right! I didn’t introduce myself properly. I’m Bobby Cruise, Stephanie ex-boyfriend just as you are Ashton Maverick ex-wife” Bobby said again and that earn him her attention.
“You see, I happen to overhear your conversation with Stephanie and I want you to know that I support you”
“Why will you support me? We are practically strangers” Sandy said.
“That’s because just like you. I also want Stephanie” Bobby said as the lift door open.
“Do you think we can get a cup of coffee to discuss more on this or you’d prefer I let you be?” Bobby ask.
“Getting a cup of coffee sounds nice” Sandy reply as they both left the hospital.
