But Stephanie ignore him, walking past him towards the door.

“Don’t you want to know why I did what I did in the past?” Ashton ask Stephanie who kept pulling the door knob.

Seeing how angry she is Ashton did as he said.
He open the door to find some people there, watching them with interest.
Stephanie gave him one last angry look before walking off.
Ashton wanted to follow but the man in charge of the broadcasting room showed up.
“I’m sorry sir, I did turn the switch button off, I swear” the man kept saying while apologizing over and over again.

“Everything I see on the news is about your proposal. Some say you got rejected while another say you got accepted” Lucas said as Ashton join him in the wine room.
“I got rejected” Ashton said, swirling the wine in his glass.
“I thought as much but what did you expect? From what you told me, she hates you and out of nowhere, the man she hates ask her to marry him, I would have given you a hundred slap as an answer if I were in her shoes” Lucas told him.
“Yeah, right. That’s suppose to make me feel better” Ashton mutter, annoyed by his grandfather remark.
“Look, i’m not trying to discourage you. All I’m saying is that someone like Stephanie needs to be treaded with caution. You can’t just propose to her when she’s angry at you” Lucas told him.
“My intention wasn’t to propose. All I wanted was to ask for joint custody of our kids but then one thing led to another and we kissed and I….”
“And you lost your head. Thought you said you were only after your kids and not their mother?” Lucas ask, smiling at his grandson.
“I did say that and that’s exactly what I want. Have had enough of women in my life, I only need my kids” Ashton said trying to convince himself.
“And those kids need their mother too”
“Which is why I want joint custody” Ashton said but his grandfather shook his head.
“The point here isn’t getting joint custody. The point is what will make you happy” Lucas began.
“It’s obvious you feel something for Stephanie, why not just seize the bull by the horn and go for it ”
“Go for it? Weren’t you the one telling me to tread with caution just now?”
“You fool. I did tell you to tread with caution but in a different way. How about I help you” Lucas suggest.
“You don’t have to, I can take care of it myself” Ashton decline.
“And make me lose my grandkids, never! I know a way you can get your kids and Stephanie, do you want me to tell you?” Lucas ask and Ashton stare at him, feeling very curious.

Bobby door open to reveal Stella coming into his office.
“Have you seen this” Stella ask as she gave her phone to Bobby who set aside the folder he was looking at.
“Ashton Maverick? Why the hell is he with Stephanie?” Bobby ask.
“According to a friend of mine who was at the airport today, Ashton propose to Stephanie and it’s the Internet most latest gossip” Stella said.
“Did Stephanie agree to his proposal?” Bobby ask.
“That’s what we don’t know since no one heard Stephanie reply but that’s not the issue here. You need to go see Stephanie, make your intention clear to her about wanting to be in her life again or Maverick will steal her away”

She turn to leave only to see Bianca behind her.
“I keep wondering who’s pushing Bobby to go after Stephanie and it turns out to be you, Stephanie so called friend” Bianca said, giving Stella a distasteful look.
“From what I know, Bobby is getting a divorce from you. Don’t you think it’s time you stop being shameless and let him go?” Stella ask, not caring if she’s talking to her boss wife.
“Judging by the way you act, I’m sure you don’t know the real reason why Bobby and Stephanie broke up years ago. You believed Bobby when he said he had to marry me just to forget Stephanie who suddenly left the city without telling him”
“That’s all a lie. Bobby and I did something very bad to Stephanie and I’m sure that once you know what it is, you will hate Bobby as much as Stephanie does” Bianca said, smiling at a confuse Stella.
