^^ NEXT DAY ~ SUSAN & STEPHANIE APARTMENT^^
“Wake up Steph! Wake up!” An anxious Susan came rushing into the room waking Stephanie.
“What’s….”
“Read this ” Susan thrust her phone at Stephanie whose eyes widen in shock after reading the message.
“Is he crazy? Why on earth is he bringing them here?” Stephanie burst out, picking up her phone to call David.
“What on earth are you thinking by bringing Faye and Frederick here?” Stephanie demand as soon as David answer.
“Finally, one of you read my message. Am sorry we are coming unannounce but we wanted to surprise you and the kids are missing you and Fiona and so I had no choice but to….”
“Go back home. We are leaving Australia today” Stephanie said in a rush.
“Well Err…. our plane just landed at the airport. I have to end the call now and can you do me a favour by telling Susan to come pick us? I know nowhere in New York ” David request softly.
“David! Wait till I get my hands on you, I am going to kill you” Stephanie yell before ending the call.
“So?” A waiting Susan ask.
“They are here already” Stephanie reply, a frown marring her lovely face.
Two hours have gone by since Susan went to pick up David and her kids at the airport with an eager Fiona in toll.
Stephanie had freshen up and was preparing breakfast for everyone when she heard the doorbell.
Thinking it’s them, Stephanie open the door without confirming who it is.
“Good morning ” Ashton greeted, pulling off his sunglass to reveal his handsome face.
“What do you want?” Stephanie ask, hostility in her voice.
“To see you” he said and immediately she tried shutting the door on his face but he prevent it by holding onto the door.
“”Go away, Ashton!” Stephanie said, hoping with all her heart that he will leave before their arrival.
“Why? Is there something you don’t want me to see?” Ashton return dryly, his gaze travelling down Stephanie body, his eyes feasting on every curve.
At that moment, a taxi halt in front of the entrance and a little girl of about six dash out of it, running towards them.
“Mommy look what aunt Susan bought me” Faye said just as a little boy about the girl age join them.
“Don’t run out of the car like that Faye, don’t you know mommy will be worried” Frederick said to his sister who shrug in return.
Stephanie stared at Ashton to see him watching the two kids.
“Who is he, mommy?”
Stephanie and Ashton look up the same time to see Fiona in the arms of Susan.
“My God, you had triplets!” Ashton said, his face losing it’s colour as he stared at the three kids.
“This is turning out to be a mess. Aunt, help me get the children in” Stephanie said quickly as Susan walk the triplets in and not for once did Ashton gaze leave them
“You need to leave, Ashton”
“They are triplets, right?” Ashton ask.
“That isn’t any of….”
“Tell me the truth, Stephanie!” Ashton yell, startling her.
“They are and they are my children. Mine alone” Stephanie yell in return when Susan show up.
“You’ve got a nerve yelling at her when you abandon her after getting her pregnant!” Susan said as she push Ashton.
He staggered but didn’t lose his balance.
“Have been hoping to see you so I can someday beat you black and blue” Susan said,folding her shirt sleeve prepared for battle but Stephanie stop her.
“He’s not worth it, aunt!” Stephanie said, finally getting through to a angry Susan.
” Faye, Fredrick and Fiona are my children. I gave birth to them when their father rejected them” Stephanie said this to Ashton.
“Stephanie I….”
“Save whatever you have to say. They mean nothing to me. All I want you to do is to leave and never come back. For the past five years, my children and I have been living without you and that’s how it will continue to be!” Stephanie declare.
For a while, Stephanie thought he will refuse and try to see the kids but instead, he went back to his car, driving off in a speed.
“Scumbag!” Susan mutter, both of them returning to the apartment.
“What about David? Didn’t he come?” Stephanie ask.
“The fool got off at a mall wanting to get you a gift ” Susan told her.

“Am sorry sir but you can’t go….”
“Get out of my way!” Ashton yell, his voice coming out strong and menacing.
The frighten secretary got out of his way and immediately, Ashton walk into the room which held the office of his doctor.
“Ashton, what a lovely sur….” Collins didn’t get to complete his sentence as Ashton angrily push aside the things on his desk, making everything fall on the floor.
He then lean over the desk and grab Collins by the collar.
“You lied to me!” Ashton said, starring at Collins with so much anger.
“W…wh…what did…I do?” Collins stammered.
“Why did you tell me five years ago that I can never become a father when it’s a lie?” Ashton demand…..
