“And that’s what I want us to talk about now.” Stella said now looking at me with an expression that made me uncomfortable.
“I…” I still couldn’t come up with anything meaningful to say.
She just kept staring at me waiting for my response.
She stood up and went to the kitchen. She came back with a tray with two cups on it. She gave me one it contained coffee.
“Am not mad at you.” Stella finally said.
“Are you serious. Thank you.” I said.
“But don’t try that again. Its not nice to steal a kiss.” She smiled.
“I wont; I promise.” I said nodding.
“So what do you do on weekends.” She asked.
“Nothing, I just stay at home.” I replied
“Well would you like to go shopping with me.”
“Yeah. That would be great.”
We had finished buying all the items we needed in the supermarket. On our way back home we decided to trek instead of taking a taxi.
We later got home. I went straight into my room and decided to take a nap. When I later woke up. I went into the sitting room and saw Stella using her phone.
“Hey you are awake. Someone called.” She said passing me my phone. I checked the missed call and I saw it was one of my friend in school.
I hìssêd as I kept the phone in my pocket and sat down on the couch beside Stella.
“Aren’t you going to call back.” Stella said looking away from her phone.
“Am not. They are fåke friends anyway. Always ready to mock me once I get bullied in school.”
“Well that reminds me. I wanted to ask. Why are you so shy.”
“I don’t have anything to say about that.” I said looking down.
“You don’t have to be shy around me.”
“Am trying not to be shy. But anytime I try I fail.”
“Okay let’s do this try to make eye contact with me for twenty seconds.”
“What! I can’t.”
“You have to. That’s a first step of overcoming your shyness making eye contact.”
“Okay. Am ready.”
I took a deep breath as I raised my head slowly. My eyes caught with hers. For some reason I was comfortable staring at her beautiful eyes.
I then slowly shifted my gaze from her eyes from her eyes to her lips. I really wanted to have a taste of those lips.
“Twenty seconds up.” She squealed. “You did it Ola.”
“Yeah I did it.” I said waking up from my day dream.
Just then we heard a knock on the door.
“I will get the door.” Stella said and went to open the door. Immediately she saw the person outside the door she screamed in excitement.
I wondered who it was because I couldn’t see the person from the direction I was seated. The person later came. It was a lady.
She was dark skinned and so beautiful too. I immediately concluded that it was Stella’s sister.
“Ola meet my sister Cynthia and Cynthia meet Ola.” Stella introduced.
I thought this weekend was going to be a good one for me but now I see It wasn’t going to be anymore.
