???????? For Her Father’s Sake Episode One:
MR. ROGER’S HOUSE
“Are you done packing your bags! Silvia?” Mr. Roger shouted to his daughter Silvia, who was in her small room, lying on her small bed and daydreaming about the day her prince charming would meet her and fall in love with her and they both get married and live happily ever after.
“Silvia, my angel!” Mr. Roger called again but this time, with a knock at Silvia’s door.
“Yes, Dad!” Silvia answered. Mr Roger entered the room and met Silvia lying on her bed. He didn’t see any bag packed. He checked her wardrobe and saw her clothes still hung on.
“Silvia, darling, you haven’t packed your clothes?” He asked.
“I still don’t understand why I should pack my bags, Dad” Silvia said, looking at her father and wondering what his reason could be. “you know I háte that your boss so much and because you said I am only going to your boss house with you to assist you with some house chores, that’s why I agreed; for your sake. so why do I need to pack my clothes?”
“I told you we had spent some few days in the mansion, didn’t I?” Mr Roger said.
“But, Dad? it’s your job, not mine. I’m only going there with you because you pleaded with me to and because it’s weekend. I’m not staying over. Besides, you had never stayed over in your boss house except coming home late. So why do you suddenly want to stay over?” Silvia said, still lying on her bed.
“For my sake; Just pack your bags my dear, and let’s go” Mr Roger said calmly. He knew if he raise his voice, Silvia might suspect him and she might run away, thereby causing his early deàth. Because his boss would kîll him if he fails to bring Silvia to him today and if he dîes, life would be so cruel for Silvia and Nicole. De DON will not spare his children. He will transfer the agreement he had with him to his children and make them suffer even more.
“I ain’t packing my bags Dad” Silvia said and continued lying down.
“Please my angel, get up and get even if it’s few of your stuffs into a bag. De DON’s driver will be here to pick us any moment. You need to have a bag with you” Mr. Roger told her.
“Why do I need to have a bag with me and when did your cruel boss started sending his driver to pick you up, huh? As long as I remember, I’ve never seen him send his driver to pick you up; so what’s up today? Why is he sending his driver?” Silvia asked, suspiciously and reluctantly.
“He just want to pick me up today. So get up and start packing your bags, please!” Mr Roger lied. He turned his face to where his daughter would not see him and wiped off the tears that had clouded in his eyes. “God forgive me for this. Maria, my lovely, late wife, I hope you forgive me for what I’m about to do to our daughter” he mumble and wipe off his tears again, then he turned back to Silvia.
“Please my dear, get up already! We’re running out of time; De DON will scale me alive if I waste his time” Mr. Roger said.
“Why do you keep working for that heartless man that called himself De DON? You should quit from that work already!” Silver said, unpleasantly.
“I can’t just quit a job I do for De DON; don’t you get” Mr. Roger said.
“You’re scared of him. Why is everyone scared of him, when he’s not a god” Silvia said and whirled towards her left. She hated that man with passion. Little did she know that her father was luring her to De DON’s mansion.
“Please get up from bed already, Silvia” Mr. Roger call. “Go pack your bags, please”
“But Dad, I still don’t get why I need to pack my bag” Silvia said turned towards her father, bit still lying down.
“Let’s just get there first, you will see that there’s lots of chores to do and we can’t finish it a day” Mr. Roger lied and tried to hid his sad mood which got trigger because he knew that he was lying to his precious daughter and was about luring her to the house of a cruel man. He felt sad because he would come back without his daughter and wouldn’t know what De DON would do to her in his mansion. It was never his will to give his precious daughter out to a cruel billionaire but he was facing circumstances beyond his control.
“I will only change into something decent but I’m not packing my bag” Silva said and got out of bed. Her father excused her as she changed into a lite trouser and stripe top.
Outside Mr Roger house, came a lousy horn that didn’t stop quickly.
“De DON’s driver is here, we need to start going out now” Mr Roger said and went out to greet the driver and plead that he exercise a little patience. He went back inside and quickly grabbed some of Silvia’s clothes and folded them into a small bag.
“I know you will be needing them. And don’t worry, I will carry the bag for you” He told Silvia. He knew De DON would be mad at him if he didn’t bring Silvia with her bag. De DON wouldn’t mind beating him up even in the presence of Silvia. He is a cruel billionaire who had sold his conscience.
Mr. Roger and Silva came out of their house the same time.
The moment they opened their door, Silvia hulted as she saw a red carpet that started from the door of their house, leading to a white range Rover car. Two flower ladies were holding flowers and standing opposite the red carpet, close to their door. They spread flowers on the carpet and waited for her to make more steps so they would spread more.
As she looked forward, she was surprised to see other beautiful cars parked in a convoy beside the range Rover car. Hefty guys on black cloths were standing like bodyguards around their compound and some close to those cars. It was like a VIP welcoming ground.
There is something fishy about this company she is accompanying her father to De DON’s mansion. They are not just going there to clean De DON’s mansion and do his laundry. There is something her father is not telling her. She thought to herself.
She turned to her father.
“What’s going on, Dad?” Silvia asked, more like a whisper and with a confused demeanor.
“Just walk on the carpet, like the princess you are and enter the car. When you get to De DON’s mansion, you will know why he is treating us like a VIP” Mr. Roger whispered back. But Silvia still kept her confused face.
“I don’t believe De DON would treat you like a VIP for nothing. You can go on to your boss house Dad. I’m not going with you anymore” She told her Dad and tried to run away but those bodyguards caught her and forcefully took her to the car.
