I was done with the day’s work. I felt so so tired, I sat on the chair staring at the television weakly.
“Hi.” I heard a very familiar voice behind me.
“Hey.” I said smiling. I looked back and saw Peter behind me.
“You look so stressed out.” He said kissing my cheeks.
“Yes, so so stressed out.” I replied smiling.
“I guess I will have to change my plans.” He said sitting on the chair opposite mine.
“What plans?” I asked eagerly.
“I wanted us to grab some coffee and snacks before you head home. But it seems you are really stressed out. So we will just head home.” He said and I shook my head.
“She will go with you. Right Nikky?” I heard Bonna say smiling and giving me an eye signal.
“You will?” He asked happily.
“Yeah. Sure i will.” I said standing up and heading to the kitchen to grab my bag.
“I know you will enjoy yourselves tonight.” She said behind me.
“I pray so.” I replied smiling.
“You need to show him you care. You can’t be there with him and your heart is with someone else.” She said and I nodded.
“I will try. It is not easy forgetting about someone.” I said pouting my mouth.
“It is damn easy forgetting about someone you don’t know. So get your a*s down there and make yourself happy.” She said smiling and I nodded.
“Thanks Bonna.” I said hugging her before heading to where Peter stood.
“Shall we?” He asked and I nodded smiling.
I headed for the door and i got out beaming widely.
“Am sorry but we are going on foot. I didn’t come with my car. Pardon me.” He said and I nodded smiling.
“It will be fun. No issues about that, I wasn’t expecting a car anyway.” I said and he smiled nodding.
“Thanks. Come on.” He said pointing to a path by our right.
“Okay.” I said holding his hand.
He looked at me and I smiled in return resting my head on his shoulders.
“Forget about Danny, focus on Peter.” The word kept ringing in my head as we walked.
“Nikky, can we chat?” He asked and i nodded with my head still on his shoulders.
“Nikky can you please give me a chance? I love you so much, and I don’t want to lose you. I do love you, if it is time, then I will wait. I will wait till you are ready.” He said and I sighed raising up my head.
“It is not time Peter, I….” I said and stopped talking again.
“Please Nikky.” He said and I breathed out loud.
“Okay.” I said nodding. I guess I will learn how to love him.
“For real? Okay!” He asked and I nodded smiling.
“Oh My God!” He said and swept me off my feet carrying me in a bridal style making me laugh.
“Put me down Peter.” I said admits laughter.
“I can’t, I am so happy.” He said making me laugh harder.
“I understand but people are staring.” I said hiding my face in his chest.
“Okay.” He said putting me down. I adjusted myself shyly ignoring the gaze of the people passing.
“So where is this restaurant? Or we aren’t taking coffee anymore?” I asked and he smiled.
“Of course we are. Come on.” He said holding my hands as we walked down the streets stealing glances of each other.

“I need to enjoy my stay here while it lasts.” I said sipping my coffee.
“Of course. We are going to miss you.” Vivian said holding Kaleb by the hand.
“I know you will. And that is why I pray I get this idea done with as soon as possible, get back to my office.” I said and they nodded.
“So when do we implement these lies?” Kaleb asked making Vivian roll her eyes.
“You should make it seem like a crime.” She said and I smiled.
“We work on it this week. By Friday I should be off.” I said and he breathed out loud.
“Can’t you at least have some cash In your account? In case you get too stranded to get yourself a shirt?” Kaleb asked and I laughed slightly.
“When that time come I will personally give you a call. But for now, two shirts and a trousers will do.” I said grinning.
“Danny, would you be begging for money there? Or you work?” Vivian asked.
“I won’t beg, that won’t happen. I will look for a very low job, you know that pays low. I will use that as a cover for the few months or years I will be spending there.” I said and Kaleb sighed.
“Can’t we at least get you a house?” He asked and I smiled holding his hands.
“Kaleb I will be fine. I will take care of myself, I made the decision already. Nothing will change it.” I said and nodded slowly.
“I hope you find what you are looking for.” He said and I nodded.
“Thanks.” I replied sipping my coffee again.
There was an awkward silence among us, and I used that opportunity to think about it all over again.
It isn’t going to be as easy as I think it would. But it is worth the try.
I was still in thoughts scanning the restaurant with my eyes when my attention was drawn to a lady that walked in.
She had a guy holding her by the hand. I narrowed my eyes looking at her, she looks quite familiar.
“What are you staring at?” Kaleb asked tracing my gaze.
“She looks quite familiar but I can’t really remember where I have seen her.” I said shutting my eyes trying to remember.
“Come on Danny. Don’t put so much attention on her, you could have met anywhere. Remember you are Danny Farrow.” He said and I nodded.
“But I think we had a conversation.” I said looking at her again.
“Danny looking at a lady when she is with her man is kind of rude.” Vivian said but I kept my gaze on her.
She and the guy began walking to our direction. I am so sure she didn’t see us.
“Yes I remember! Vivian!” I said aloud happily making her turn abruptly to my direction.
“Oh sh*t, why did I yell?” I asked myself feeling kinda embarrassed.
She stared at me and I didn’t know what to do.
“Hi.” I said waving at her and she just looked away, and walked away with the guy beside her.
“Danny why would you shout her name so loudly.” Kaleb said staring at me.
“It isn’t my fault. I recalled I met her from a restaurant few days ago, I didn’t know when I called out her name.” I said sipping my coffee.
“This isn’t the first person that will be familiar to you. Did you have to lose control?” He asked again.
“Am sorry If I embarrassed you. She is just too beautiful to get off my memory box easily.” I said and he shook his head.
“Now I understand.” He said and I furrowed my brows.
“Of course you don’t.” I said feeling offended and Vivian laughed.
