I ran to the restaurant in the morning. I wasn’t actually late, but I felt like doing some exersice.
I was the first person to get to the Restaurant, and I always feel joy in me when it happens like that. I am so competent.
I opened the door and walked in, removing the sweater I wore. I walked to the kitchen with vitality and dropped my bag.
I brought out my vest and wore it with my black trousers, I packed my hair in ponytail and took the brush and dustpan ready to start cleaning.
I walked back to the outer part of the restaurant, where the tables and chairs were arranged, and began to sweep the floor.
I kept whistling as I did, I just felt happiness in me. Maybe because I slept dreaming all about Danny Farrow.
In that dream, we were in a car driving to only heaven knows. We had black glasses on and we were wearing a white outfit.
He played a music in the car and we kept moving to the tune laughing loudly. Gosh I can’t wait.
“You have started day dreaming hun?” I heard Bonna say.
“When did you come in?” I asked smiling as she walked up to me kissing my cheeks.
“While you were still in the dream land grinning stupidly.” She replied making me laugh.
“You came late again.” I said as I continued to sweep.
“Yes, I had some deal with Paul last night.” She said making me narrow my eyes.
“Paul huh? He dropped by?” I asked.
“Yes.” She replied from the kitchen.
“He came to tell me how much he loves me, and he came with bouquet of beautiful flowers.” She added walking out of the kitchen.
“Wow, he is so cute. Say yes already.” I said happily.
“I did. Last night.” She said smiling.
“OMG! I am so happy for you.” I said walking close to her to give her a hug but I stopped abruptly when the door opened and Madam Faridah walked in.
“Good Morning Ma’am.” We chorused fearfully.
“Morning.” She replied walking to her office.
“That is strange.” I whispered looking at her.
“She must be a very bad mood for her not to scold us this morning.” Bonna said mopping where I already swept.
“Well I am still very happy for you.” I said grinning.
“Don’t be too happy, he is yet to be my husband. He is just a boyfriend.” She said.
“At least you love someone close to you.” I said sadly and I heard her laugh loud.
“What?” I asked feeling offended.
“So you are still on this Danny Farrow guy of a thing? Babe snap out! You are very beautiful and there are very handsome guys out there that wants you to be theirs.” She preached.
“I haven’t seen anyone yet.” I said pouting my mouth.
“You have Peter, Stephen, Max, many more.” She said making me sigh.
“I don’t like any of them.” I said.
“And that is because you have your mind on someone that will never look at you. Give one of them a chance, if not all at least Peter. Gosh that guy loves you.” She said and I breathed out loud.
“I will think about it.” I said sadly.
“Of course you should. You are not growing younger babe. You need a man to forte your bills and Peter is very well to do. He is also handsome and sweet, come on don’t covet what you can’t have.” She stated and i nodded.
“Thanks Bonna. I love you.” I said blowing her a kiss.
“Ewwww I am not a lessy. Blow that to Peter okay?” She said making us laugh.
“You’re crazy.” I said focusing on my sweeping.
We were done cleaning and was walking to the kitchen when we noticed three cars park in front of the restaurant.
“Who are those?” Bonna asked as we stopped looking outside.
“I am yet to know.” I said staring outside waiting eagerly to see who they were.
Then I saw a man come down, he looked quite familiar.
“Is that not Kaleb Farrow?” Bonna said in shock.
“Oh My God! Danny is here!” I said running into the kitchen and breathing hard.
“Been nervous won’t help issues, remember we are yet to make anything. So put yourself together.” Bonna said and I nodded breathing very fast.
I looked outside the kitchen window and I saw the door open, and my forever crush walked in looking as hot and sexy as ever.
He was accompanied with his guards or whosoever they are, and his brother and another lady was with him.
“She is beautiful.” Bonna said.
“Yes she is, and I hope she is not with Danny. She better be with Kaleb.” I said looking away.
“Fighting for what isn’t yours? Snap out old fool!” She said hitting my head with the napkin in her hand.
“So you are still here chatting? Didn’t you see Mr Danny Farrow is in the restaurant?” Madam Faridah cut in making us keep mute staring at ourselves.
“Will you get out there to take the orders!” She smacked and we began to move around the kitchen not knowing what to do.
I heard Madam Faridah sigh and I knew she was so vexed with our stupidity.
“Nikky get down there to take the orders, and you Bonna make coffee and add less sugar and milk, just the way he likes it.” She said walking out of the kitchen.
“Must I always be the one taking his orders?” I mumbled taking the jotter and pen from the kitchen drawer.
“Just act cool, don’t be too nervous. It is sure he won’t talk to nor look at you directly so no big deal.” She said and I nodded breathing out.
I adjusted my cloth and walked out of the kitchen heading to where they sat.
I then noticed the guards were not there. Who will i take the orders from then? Danny himself or Kaleb? Or that beautiful intimidating lady?
I got to where they were and I saw they were discussing and they looked very serious.
“Good day Sir and welcome to Delight Crowns, can I have your orders please?” I said smiling trying not to jump on him.
“Coffee Thank you.” Danny said looking at me and smiling, and I felt so so shy and nervous. His voice was angelic.
I stood there staring at him speechlessly, if I dared carry a step, I will end up falling.
“Go on.” The lady said making me looking away.
“Sorry.” I said walking away briskly.
“Gosh that girl couldn’t control herself. She was drooling dude.” I heard Kaleb say and I felt so so embarrassed. I slowed down to hear what Danny would say.
“Kaleb let her be okay? We are here for a serious issue.” He said making me smile.
At least he didn’t make fun of me because of my stupid act.
