We got to the factory and we climbed down. I felt damn tired but I endured it. Nothing must interrupt the dinner with Priscilla.
I checked out the time on my wristwatch and I saw it was 8pm.
“Wow. Two hours more.” I said aloud and Danny looked at me.
“You seem nervous.” He said and I breathed out nodding.
“Yes I am. I don’t know what to say to her when I finally succeed proving your absence to her.” I said and he smiled.
“Don’t worry, you would cope.” He said and I nodded having that hope too.
“I think we are done for the day, but we have to stay around till 10pm.” Reigns said and I nodded
“Well that’s bullshit. Why would they keep us here till 10pm. For crying out loud we aren’t machines.” Danny said in anger making me laugh.
“I did more than you did. But trust me, I got used to it. We have a eating spot here, come eat. Then we know how to execute our escape plan.” I disd chuckling.
“Escape plan?” Danny asked narrowing his gaze.
“For you of course. You need to escape before Priscilla gets hold of you by 10pm.” I said pulling him with me and Reigns followed after.
“You are yet to tell us what you and that angel discussed.” Reigns said grinning widely.
“That’s none of your businesses.” Danny replied making me laugh.
“Of course he will tell us. We introduced him to her, we have every right to know what happened in that shop.” I said winking.
“Nothing guys. Don’t be perverts.” He said and we all laughed.
“And I recall she wanted to say something when she looked at you. But you shut her up.” Reigns said and I nodded.
“She looked equally shocked. What happened?” I asked nervously too.
“Guys she was just… Just surprised… Surprised that an handsome man like me would be working in a meat factory. That’s all.” He stammered and we all nodded.
“That is very shocking too. You look so handsome and fresh to deliver meats you know.” Reigns said as we took a seat around the corner of the eatery.

“Me too. I need a wife and children. And I want that for Danny.” I said looking at him and he nodded.
“I want that for myself too.” He replied when I looked up at the Television in the eatery.
They were displaying the news on the screen, about human trafficking and the rest.
“I wonder when all these will stop in Los Angeles.” I said making both of them look up.
“Human traffickers are here?” Danny asked in shock.
“They are excess around here. Take the girls for prostitution and some other stupid jobs.” Reigns said and I nodded.
“Drug dealers too are also Paramount here. We just need to be careful. And that’s why I also watch you Danny. You are yet to know this place well.” I said and he stared into space.
“Nikky is new here. She has to know about all these.” He said in fear.
“Gosh I also forgot about her. She should be here with someone.” I said and he shook his head.
“I can’t be so sure. I need to make sure she is safe. Can I leave the company now?” He asked looking at Reigns and I.
“This is 9:26. You should be able to leave now.” Reigns said and I nodded.
“Are you sure she will still be at the painting shop?” I asked and he shook his head standing up.
“I ain’t sure about anything now. Let’s execute the plan now.” He whispered and I nodded.
“Your card.” I asked and he reached for it in his pockets, bringing it out for me.
“Reigns he is leaving earlier. Any safe route to escape?” I asked and he nodded.
“Come.” He said standing up and began to walk away. We walked behind him like we were just walking. Didn’t want to grow suspicions from the co-workers.
“You need to run out through this door. Some workers are always there. But sometimes they don’t come here in a month.” He said and I nodded.
“Yes Danny. This is a safe route. You will be hardly seen. You have to be smart about doing this.” I said and he nodded.
“Thank you so much guys. And good luck on your dinner with Priscilla.” He said looking around one last time before heading into the door.
“Stay safe. You can’t get into the hands of those bad boys. They love handsome men.” I said as he ran down the door.
Reigns shut the door and we headed back to the eatery like nothing ever happened.

I stood up from the chair stretching and yawning. I have been painting some landscapes and I was really enjoying myself.
I looked outside the window and I saw it was dark already.
“Wow. So soon?” I thought looking at the wristwatch.
“What? Almost 10pm.” I said in shock.
I need to get home as soon as possible. Staying up to 10pm outside the house in a new place isn’t good at all.
I began to pack up the paints and the drawing boards. The lights in the shop were quite bright so the inside was like Morning.
I carried my bag and moved out of the shop and to my surprise I saw Danny standing in front of the door.
“Danny? Hi.” I said smiling in surprise.
“Hi. I wasn’t expecting you here by this time. You should have gone home. It’s not safe.” He said and I nodded.
“I know but I was lost in the painting. The inside was too bright so I didn’t notice on time.” I said and he nodded.
“I will walk you home.” He said and I nodded.
“Don’t stress yourself Danny. I will be safe.” I said but he ignored me holding my hand.
“Take the lead.” He said and I nodded smiling.
“Thanks.” I replied.
